Ashlee Simpson
Is she? Isn't she? As rumors spread about the younger Simpson girl being pregnant, her and now husband Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boyz) were hush, hush when asked whether or not they were true. Eventually it came out, but by the time Simpson admitted to the rumors, it had already been old news. According to other sources, today Ashlee Simpson is doing just fine and has been only visiting the doctor for routine checkups.
In March of 2008, Ashlee released a new album called, "Bittersweet World" just one month prior to her engagement with Wentz. The two were married a month later in May and for now the only questions they have is what sex the baby will be. In fact, Wentz felt that they should know the baby's gender upfront saying, "It would be a bummer if you bought a boy a bunch of pink stuff!" We hear you, Pete! No word on what they plan on naming the baby, or whether or not their music lives will be altered dramatically by this wonderful event.
NO Doubt Lead Singer Gwen Stefani
It's about that time for Gwen Stefani and guitarist hubby Davin Rossdale (BUSH) to welcome their second child into the world. With a, August 2008 due date, the couple is not only preparing for the delivery, but also the fact that Rossdale could be performing on the Canadian Idol Stage. If that's the case he told the site, "I'll sing a song for him." Guess it's a boy.
Stefani on the other hand better be geared up for the paparazzi like never before. Now that the Jolie-Pitt clan is here, this star-studded couple is next in line as the hottest baby photos to nab for the tabloids. All we can say is there's NO DOUBT they'll bring in all kinds of money.
Madonna
You can't have a list of mother music artists without Madonna gracing the page. Known for having her first child in 1996 at the age of 38 with personal trainer Carlos Leon, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon was born. After the relationship fizzled, she was introduced to now husband as well as writer/director Guy Ritchie in 1999 and by 2000 they brought Rocco Ritchie into the world.
However, controversy surrounded the Madonna clan in 2006 when she adopted David Banda from Malawi. While many applauded her efforts to care for a child who had endured malaria and tuberculosis, the media portrayed the situation as unlawful due to improper arrangements having her live there for at least a year. After two years of legal documentation, the adoption was finalized May 28, 2008.
